The Steeple Top and the Angel Moroni

The very top of the temple's steeple is textured. I haven't been able to find anything in LEGO to replicate this feature, at least not in the scale I have to work with.

Two different versions are being discussed. The first is a stack of round bricks. This gives the area between the bottom of the steeple and the Angel Moroni some texture.

The section version is three 2x2 blocks. This makes the steeple more square, but it's smooth and plain.

I'm really torn on which way to go with the steeple, and I'm sure there will be more discussion on this. I'm still searching for other bricks to use for the steeple as well.

The Angel Moroni is another topic of discussion too. I've seen where other temple builders have used mini-figures, and some have made abstract angels. One of our sons has access to a 3D printer, and he said that he is going to have an Angel Moroni printed and see how it looks. If it turns out good, our ward clerk said he has some gold leaf he wants to donate to the project, and that will be used to cover the  Angel Moroni. This is still in the works. After a final decision has been made for this, I'll update this page.
