The Front Entrance and Internal Structure

Building the first wall took some practice. It's well known that to make sturdy walls, the builder needs to overlap bricks. This wasn't possible with the type of brick I was using for the wall.

I wanted to make sure the square blocks showed in my model as they do in the temple, so I used 1x2x1 2/3 with 4 knobs. This brick made things a little odd because they are 1 2/3 blocks high. The brick is available without the knobs, but making the wall secure is not possible (they'll collapse by pushing in on them). Plates were used on the back of the wall bricks to ensure the wall was sturdy.

The other decision that had to be made was how to do the main entry doors. I settled with a 2x1x2 roof tile in dark green (to simulate aged copper).

Once those decisions were made, and the first wall was built, it was time to add the internal structure to hold the roof of the main building up. The reason for this is because those bricks are tied into the back wall of the main entrance.
